Inspired by the novels' themes of oppression, resistance and identity, the film takes a restrained, atmospheric approach to presenting this extraordinary two-volume collector's edition.

Through carefully composed imagery, dramatic lighting and detailed product cinematography, the film celebrates the striking artwork and craftsmanship of the books while reflecting the unsettling world of Gilead.
